Tenants and leases

Add a tenant with their name and an email or mobile number, then place them in a unit: the first day, the last day (or month to month), the monthly rent, the deposit and the due day.

Rent is tracked from the day you enter the lease. Rent that fell due before that day and is still unpaid goes in as an opening balance.

Fixing a mistake

A lease saved by mistake can be cancelled before its first day, with a reason; it stays on record, marked Cancelled.

A tenant with anything on record is archived, never deleted, so the books and receipts that name them stay whole. A tenant added by mistake, with nothing on record, can be deleted.
